A tag location function narrows a search down to an individual item inside a crowded area, which turns a lost-asset hunt from a manual walk into a guided one.

Beyond RFID, the MT93UHF carries a megapixel 2D scan engine with Newland's UIMG decoding algorithm for fast, accurate reads on 1D and 2D symbologies, including codes that are damaged or poorly printed. Read range on barcodes runs from 55 mm to 610 mm depending on symbology and density.
